Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) wishes to thank communities in Buffalo City, Ekurhuleni, Mangaung, The Msunduzi, Polokwane, Witbank, Kimberly, Rustenburg, and Cape Town,  that participated in the Census 2021 Mini-test.

Subsequent to the Census 2021 Mini –Test, the Post-enumeration Survey (PES) Mini-test is currently underway in selected provinces until 13 December 2019. The purpose of this survey is to evaluate the quality of the Census 2021 Mini-test.The PES 2021 Mini-test is conducted independently of the Census 2021 Mini-test. PES field workers will visit dwellings in selected areas to administer the PES questionnaire.  Households may be re-visited from 20 January to 14 February 2020 to obtain missing or additional information that will ensure that people are correctly identified between the PES 2021 Mini-test and the Census 2021 Mini-test.
